How am I supposed to say goodbye to you?
When I Must Leave You
Show Us How
An Angel Among Us
Champion

On December 26, 1994, shortly before his 21st birthday, Pit LeBrun was taken from us
in an automobile accident. This page is dedicated in his memory.

To the love of my life!
How am I supposed to say goodbye to you?
You're my husband, and I'm your wife.
We shared so many good times, so many days and nights
so many hugs and kisses, and sometimes an occasional fight.
You kissed me whenever I hurt, and hugged me to show your love.
You winked at me to make me smile. Now, you're my angel up above.
We smiled, laughed, and cried together at the birth of our son.
"Pit" you said his name was to be, "he's gonna be the strong one."
Everything he does, he look just like you.
The sparkle you gave him in his eyes, makes me smile when I'm blue.
I ask a lot of questions, about why you had to leave,
"When it's my time, it's my time" you'd say. Now I'm left to grieve
You brought so much to our lives, so much beauty, joy and love,
and I'm sure we'll still feel your strength in your angel kisses from above.
You were the best at everything, everything you ever did,
the best fighter, wrestler, son, lover, daddy, and friend.
So when your son grows up and asks about his dad,
he will always know that you were the best anyone has ever had.
I'll say good-bye to you now, but not forever.
Your memory will live on until in heaven we are together.
I love you Pit. The mostest-est-est.
Always, forever, & everlasting.

When I Must Leave You

When I must leave you for a little while,
Please do not grieve me and shed wild tears.
And hug your sorrow to you through the years,
But start out bravely with a gallant smile,
And for my sake and in my name
Live on and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in comfort and in cheer.
And I in turn will comfort you and hold you near;
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky.

Pit,
You will be missed.
As you go - you take with you a part of each of us.
You also leave a part of yourself with each of us;
The love you gave freely,
The moments shared,
The memories of your achievements,
The example of how to be - a person,
How to be - a loving father,
How to be - a supporting husband,
How to be - a treasured son,
How to be - a beloved brother,
You showed us how to be because you were a natural leader.
You lead not by bragging or by bluster, but by quiet example.
You were faithful to your dreams and aspirations.
You kept them in front of you - ever reaching - ever striving,
You never quit.
I hope that when one of us faces a hard choice or a difficult situation,
That we will think of you and honor your memory,
By persevering - by going the extra mile - by not giving up.
You were an example to be followed by young and old
By the smallest child, by the seasoned elders.
Pit, you were loved, you ARE loved, you will be missed
I love you little brother

The country music group "Alabama" has a new song named Angels among us.
It talks about ordinary people doing caring acts for others, and asking nothing in return.
My baby brother, Pit, has been and always will be an Angel
I remember Pit at the age of 3, climbing up on the parked tractor.
He was steering it and "working hard".
At age 5, I'll always remember him jabbing in the kitchen with his winter mittens on.
Pit loved everyone; his family, all of his friends, his schoolmates, teammates,
coaches, and especially The Lord.
There are so many wonderful memories, and I could talk all day about them,
but the most outstanding characteristic of Pit is his unselfish love and helpfulness for others.
It's pretty obvious how much he meant to everyone
by all of the people that have shown up and called this past week.
Pit has left a part of himself in each one of us.
To me - it's the unselfish love and helpfulness that will carry on.
Pit has been and always will be an angel.
